Over the past few years, we’ve seen social media used in the job market in a number of ways — startups, small businesses and large corporations alike are diving into the socialverse to find top talent, and job seekers are likewise getting creative with social media.

Social media monitoring service Reppler recently surveyed more than 300 hiring professionals to determine when and how job recruiters are screening job candidates on different social networks.

The study found that more than 90% of recruiters and hiring managers have visited a potential candidate’s profile on a social network as part of the screening process. And a whopping 69% of recruiters have rejected a candidate based on content found on his or her social networking profiles — an almost equal proportion of recruiters (68%), though, have hired a candidate based on his or her presence on those networks.

Opera today released the latest update for their Mobile Interface, Opera Mini 6.5 and Opera Mobile 11.5 for Symbian Phones. The major feature included in this is the ability to track of data costs and savings while browsing through the web, which saves upto 90% of data cost.

After the great features found in that Android release of Opera Mini are now available for Symbian users. Opera Mobile 11.5 will now show you exactly how much data you have spent and saved. A dedicated page, easily accessible from the help menu inside the Opera Mobile, keeps count of how much data you are spending and saving !

Stealthy black is the colour of the day, says me. So we rounded up three stealthy black Nokia phones to compare their shapes, sizes, curves and differences. Our eyes are attracted to one particular black beauty though, which is the new Nokia Lumia 800. Put side-to-side with an N9, there’s not much that sets them apart aside from a few details. Lets go.

While I was browsing videos from YouTube, I found a video from ElectronicsBreak where they test the iPhone 4S vs. the Samsung Galaxy S II to see which of these devices survives a waist high and shoulder high drop. You guys gotta check out this and see who fared well in this video test and who got more damage !
